Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) to The Chaplain.

See below for the FAQ and answeres to the most common questions we are asked.

It is possible to order over the telephone during our opening hours. To place your order over the phone please call 01865 238 321.
We recommend customers who have a food allergy to order over the telephone, where our skilled operators are all trained in allergen awareness and have knowledge of the food allergens found in our food. To order over the phone please call 01865 238 321 during our opening hours.

We’d love to be open all the time, but our chefs need their beauty sleep!

The Chaplain is open between 6:30 PM and 10:30 PM on Monday to Thursday. On Friday and Saturday our opening hours are from 6:30PM to 11:00PM. We are currently closed on Sunday.

All the food served at The Chaplain is cooked fresh to order so it does take a little longer to deliver than pre-cooked food. If you order over the telephone by calling 01865 238321 our operators would be able to give an indication of the time for delivery. For orders online we estimate delivery to be within an hour from order confirmation.
We accept orders outside of our opening hours. Please specify a delivery time within our opening hours when placing the order. For orders placed overnight or without a delivery time we will contact you during our opening hours to confirm your order.

The Chaplain currently delivers within Kidlington and Yarnton. For orders under £10 there is a £2.50 delivery charge. Any orders over £10 is delivered for free. 

We are looking to expand our delivery area. Sign up to our mailing list to be the first to know when this happens.

We offer several different methods of payment. You can pay cash on delivery, or if you prefer to pay by card you can do so online and over the telephone. We also accept PayPal payment on our website.

We accept all major credit and debit cards including Amex. The price you pay is the same regardless of the method of payment.

You can!  At the moment there is a £30 limit per transaction.  

To use Apple Pay, just tap your compatible Apple device on the contactless terminal and use TouchID (the fingerprint sensor) to authenticate the transaction.

For Android Pay, simply unlock your device and tap it on the contactless terminal and you're good to go.
